Ever since I can remember, I knew that I wanted to teach mathematics. It may sound like a familiar sentiment, but in my case, it is entirely true. I grew up in a home where mathematics truly reigned as the queen of the sciences. My mother was a mathematics teacher whom her former students still remember to this day.

They admired her immensely. She set high standards while possessing a remarkable ability to explain even the most complex concepts in a way that was clear, logical and easy to understand. She had a unique gift for breaking mathematics down into its simplest elements, enabling even those who had previously struggled with the subject to understand it with confidence.

As a child, I was fascinated by watching her teach. It was perfectly natural for us that, from time to time, I would join one of her lessons, sit quietly at the back of the classroom and watch her interact with her students. She taught me that the role of a teacher is not simply to pass on knowledge, but above all to help students develop the confidence to think independently and find their own solutions.

It was therefore only natural that I chose to study mathematics at university.

In 2004 I graduated from Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun at department of Mathematics and Informatics. Since then I teach mathematics, I am in charge of my team of tutors as well as conducting cyclic training courses for other teachers with hard and soft skills.

Without any doubt I can say that my whole life revolves around mathematics. My job is my passion, that is why I am very committed to what I deal with on a daily bases.

Till now I have worked in several international schools that offer Middle Years Programme (MYP) as well as International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB DP). I also had the pleasure of working in Stefan Batory High School in Warsaw. I taught children in middle school (polish program and MYP) as well as in high school (polish program and IB Diploma Programme). Over many years I have conducted high school exam courses, gave lectures at universities, lead workshops for teachers and many more – it is impossible to write about everything.

I love what I do and I never feel overwhelmed, that is why I would like to invite you to my world of IB Tutors.
